Old Dirty Brasstards

Old Dirty Brasstards are bringing the brass band straight into the 21st century. This 10-piece brass powerhouse has spent the past decade redefining our expectations of what a brass band can be. Reimagining everything from Beyonce, Lionel Richie and Arctic Monkeys to Taylor Swift, Oasis and East 17 in their own unique style, they never fail to inject their exhilarating brand of party-starting energy into every performance they do.

Formed in South East London by trombonists Richard Turner & Chris Smith, the Old Dirty Brasstards’ line-up has since expanded to encompass ten players across trumpet, trombone, bass trombone, tuba, drums and percussion. These festival favourites have since taken to the stage at some of Britain’s top events, including Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival, All Points East and BST Hyde Park, and performed at iconic venues such as Hammersmith Apollo, Ronnie Scott’s, Roundhouse and XOYO.

Since recording their self-titled debut album in 2016, ODB have released numerous singles and shared a sophomore release, Old Dirty Brasstards 2.0, in 2021. Their latest release is a barnstorming cover of Tina Turner’s 1989 classic, “Simply The Best.”

On top of festivals and gigs, brass bands are a hugely popular choice for both private events and weddings, bringing a heavy dose of uptempo energy and riotous fun to any special occasion, and Old Dirty Brasstards are the best in the business, drawing from an extensive back catalogue of pop bangers, classic hits, power ballads and golden oldies that’ll have every single guest on their feet.
