Craft Music artist Julian Marley performed at Boomtown Festival this August, alongside his band, The Uprising. Putting together a number of UK dates this summer as part of Julian’s European tour, Craft Music is proud to be partnering with Boomtown for the first time on an unforgettable performance that saw Julian open the festival weekend to a lively crowd of thousands.
Playing a varied selection of tunes from his extensive back catalogue, Julian also delighted audiences with several Bob Marley covers, including “Lively Up Yourself”, “Jamming” and “Exodus”. The concert finished with a sing-along cover of the inimitable classic, “One Love”.
Taking place 9th - 13th August, Boomtown is one of the UK’s most popular festivals. Widely beloved for its inclusive atmosphere and rebellious spirit, the event sees over 70,000 revellers descend on Matterley Estate, in the South Downs. Offering music, theatre, art, food, and some of the most jaw-droppingly creative production and set design found at any event in the UK - or the world - it’s an essential date in the calendar for festival-goers across the country.
Boomtown made waves in the music industry this year by deciding to keep their lineup a secret until a week before the festival, in an effort to encourage people to attend on the basis of the entire festival experience, not just an all-star lineup. Joining Julian on this year’s billing were Four Tet, Self Esteem, Kool & The Gang and Kae Tempest.
